Felt Alive Core Wool Batting
$19.95 per 8 oz batt
Felt Alive Core Wool – domestic Merino X wool carded into lofty batts (thick sheets) making it a perfect choice for sculptural needle felting.
This is THE ORIGINAL Felt Alive ‘Core Wool’ batting that I’ve been using since 2007. Natural, off-white Felt Alive Needle Felting Wool that has not been dyed. It is easy to handle and felts up fast making it a great choice for felting the core of your projects while saving your dyed wool for the outer layers. You’ll see me using it in nearly all Felt Alive Needle Felting Tutorials.
We call this ‘core wool’ because it the perfect wool to use for needle felting the core parts of your creations while saving your dyed wool for the outside layers. It is off-white, slightly yellowish with bits of vm (vegetable matter) but is so easy to handle and felts up fast.
This is a medium-short crimpy fiber that is processed into thick, fluffy sheets (batting) making it so much easier to handle than long, slick fiber you’ll find in Merino Roving.
Felt Alive Core Wool batting is not only great for felting;
use for crafting, dryer balls, quilt batting and photo props.
This economical wool batting has not been dyed and is a natural off-white color. It does contain some vm (vegetable matter) and is perfect choice to use for the core of your needle felted projects. It is easy to handle and felts up very fast! I’ve been using this wool for the core of all of my projects since I started needle felting and I know you will love it too!
