I’m so happy to introduce the members of Spinal Tap – Felt Alive needle felted dolls based on characters from the cult classic movie, This is Spinal Tap, a hysterical mockumentary about England’s loudest fictional band.
Meet (l-r) Harry Shearer as Derek Smalls, Christopher Guest as Nigel Tufnel and Michael McKean as David St. Hubbins.
As Nigel would say – ‘these go to eleven.”

I had a blast making these guys. I’ve watched the movie so many times over the years, they just sort of magically came to life.
This is Spinal Tap member David St. Hubbins coming to life in wool. I guess I could say it required a literal spinal tap to make it happen.
Oh, how fun it is to Felt Alive.
