Witch Head
A full 3D witch head — long bony nose, deep-set eyes, a hooked chin, and wild hair. For when you already know the basics and want a face with an opinion.
Felt along in real time. Pause when your hands need a minute. These are the same free workshops from Felt Alive — just wool and a color-coded needle, played from YouTube.
Needles I reach for
From the Felt Alive workshop
What you need
I review supplies in chapter one — start there before you shop. Amounts are for one project.
Needles

- Felt Alive Felting Needle Six-Pack (color-coded singles — designed to accompany these workshops)
Wool
- Wool batting for a head-sized egg — flesh, gray, or a ghastly mix
- Small amounts for eyes, lips, shading, and a wart
- Natural mohair roving or curly locks for the hair
Tools
- Foam felting pad (8×10" or larger)
- Felting stick (paper lollipop stick or wooden skewer)
- Strong sewing needle — used as a sculpting tool, not for sewing
