Needle Felting Tip – Bag the Head!

Share

This needle felting tip is a trick I’ve developed over the years to protect the head/face of my needle felted dolls while I’m finishing up their bodies.

I always completely sculpt the heads of my dolls off the body and don’t attach it until the body is nearly complete. After hours of sculpting the head, the last thing I want to do is roll it all over my felting pad as I felt the clothes on.

It looks rather gruesome but tying a plastic bag over the head of a needle felted doll in-progress keeps it pristine as you work. But if you poke in little breathing holes with your felting needle, you won’t feel so bad.
