This is little Gladys! She is such a silly little thing! As I’m learning to create needle felted art dolls, I am discovering the magic of blending colors for blush and shading to really bring the wool to life.
Little Glady’s is about 12″ tall and stands on her own (with a little help from the tree) without the use of wire armatures. I used undyed core wool batting for her body parts and covered her with layers of Norwegian C1 wool batting. Her hair is hand-dyed angora (goat) locks. For her eyes, flower and details, I used Merino Roving.
